About Casey County Criminal History

Casey County records are divided among several public offices. Court files belong to the Kentucky Court of Justice clerk in Liberty, agency reports remain with the sheriff or police department, and Kentucky State Police maintains centralized fingerprint history and the state sex offender registry. Corrections information comes from the Kentucky Department of Corrections. This private reference resource organizes those distinct channels so readers can identify the office, public system, or request route that fits the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Kentucky does not place every criminal record in one public database. The Casey Circuit Court Clerk holds the official Circuit and District case files at the Casey County Judicial Center. The Casey County Sheriff's Office keeps reports it creates, while the detention center creates booking and custody records. Kentucky State Police operates the centralized criminal-history repository and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. The Kentucky Department of Corrections provides the separate Kentucky Online Offender Lookup for corrections and supervision data. Bringing the verified office roles, access limits, request paths, and public search tools together makes it easier to start with the actual custodian instead of treating unlike records as interchangeable.

What You Will Find Here

The material is organized around the official source and the type of record that source can provide.

  • Local record routes: how to find and read a Casey County court case file through the Circuit Court Clerk
  • Official check options: how AOC FastCheck court reports differ from a fingerprint-supported self-check through Kentucky State Police
  • Agency contacts: where to reach the sheriff, judicial center, detention center, and statewide record systems serving Casey County
  • Expungement information: how Kentucky certification and court filing channels fit into review of one's own record

What We Cannot Do

Casey County Criminal History is a privately operated reference resource. It is not connected with the Casey County government, Kentucky Court of Justice, any law-enforcement office, or any Kentucky agency. Those limits mean the site cannot perform official acts:

  • It cannot provide certified court documents, police reports, or fingerprint histories
  • It cannot submit a public-records request, expungement petition, or other filing for a reader
  • It cannot conduct an official criminal record check or retrieve a person's protected record
  • It cannot provide legal advice about the effect of a charge, disposition, or registration duty
  • It cannot guarantee that an agency's fee, hours, address, or procedure has not changed

An official copy must come from the office that created or keeps it, such as the Casey Circuit Court Clerk, the reporting law-enforcement agency, or Kentucky State Police.

Search Partners

Third-party companies power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its own service, prices, and search results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports free access to this resource. Casey County Criminal History does not set provider charges, create provider reports, or decide which information those results contain.
